Product Introduction
Cromobact 2gm Injection contains Aztreonam as its active ingredient along with L-arginine. Aztreonam is a monobactam antibiotic originally derived from Chromobacterium violaceum. It is used to treat severe bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. Monobactams possess a unique monocyclic beta-lactam ring, which differentiates them from other beta-lactam antibiotics such as penicillins, cephalosporins, and cephamycins.
Do not use Cromobact 2gm Injection if you are allergic to Aztreonam or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, blood disorders such as pancytopenia (a decrease in all types of blood cells), skin conditions, a positive antiglobulin (Coombs) test, or a history of seizures or fits. Also tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Tell your doctor if you have previously experienced antibiotic-associated diarrhea or have a history of stomach or intestinal disorders. If you develop severe, persistent, or bloody diarrhea while receiving Cromobact 2gm Injection, seek medical attention immediately, as your doctor may decide to stop the treatment. Inform your healthcare provider if you are taking other antibiotics or anticoagulant (blood-thinning) medicines, as these may require additional monitoring. If you develop symptoms of encephalopathy, a condition that affects brain function and may present with confusion, drowsiness, altered mental status, or other neurological symptoms, contact your doctor immediately for prompt evaluation and appropriate management.
