Product Introduction
Cyclophil ME Oral Solution contains the active ingredient Cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant medication. It is primarily used to prevent organ rejection in patients with kidney, liver, or heart transplants. The medication works alongside other medicines to suppress the body's immune response against the transplanted organ. Following solid organ transplantation, the immune system recognises the new organ's antigens as foreign and mounts an aggressive response. Immunosuppressive therapy is therefore necessary to prevent rejection of the transplanted organ.
Immunosuppressants increase the risk of skin cancer. Limit sun exposure, wear protective clothing, and use sunscreen with high sun protection factor. Inform your physician if you have recently received vaccination with live vaccines.
Cyclophil ME Oral Solution should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Cyclosporine or its components. The medication can elevate blood pressure levels and should be used cautiously or avoided in individuals with uncontrolled hypertension or a history of high blood pressure.
Discussion of potential reproductive effects with a healthcare professional is important, particularly for individuals planning to conceive. Blood glucose monitoring is important, especially for individuals at risk of diabetes.
Uses
Prevention of organ rejection (Kidney, liver, and heart) Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriasis
How it works
By suppressing the immune system, Cyclophil ME Oral Solution helps prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. After organ transplantation, the immune system recognizes the transplanted organ as foreign and launches an immune response to attack and reject it. Cyclophil ME Oral Solution inhibits the activation of T-cells, a type of white blood cell involved in immune responses. This suppression of T-cell activity helps to prevent the immune system from attacking and damaging the transplanted organ, thereby increasing the chances of successful organ transplantation.
