Product Introduction
Cytoplatin 50mg Injection is an alkylating agent and antineoplastic medicine containing the active ingredient Cisplatin. It is used to treat certain cancers including testicular, ovarian, bladder, lung, cervical, head and neck epithelial tumours, either as monotherapy or in combination with radiotherapy.
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are allergic to this drug or any of its ingredients. Notify your doctor if you have hypersensitivity, myelosuppression (reduced blood cell count), or hearing difficulties. Do not take this medicine if you have recently received a live vaccine, including yellow fever vaccine; inform your doctor if you are planning vaccination.
Inform your doctor if you experience symptoms of peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage) or if you have previously received radiotherapy to the head.
This medicine may affect kidney, liver and blood function. Your doctor may order regular blood tests to monitor your blood, kidney and liver function.
Both men and women should use effective contraception during treatment and continue for six months after the final dose. This medicine may cause permanent reduction in fertility in men. Discuss fertility concerns with your doctor before commencing treatment.

How it works
It works by stopping the growth and division of cancer cells. It does this by binding to the DNA in the cancer cells and preventing them from replicating.
How to Use
Cytoplatin 50mg injection is administered as an intravenous infusion into the vein. If this injection is recommended for you, it will be given by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.
Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Expert Tips
If you experience any symptoms mentioned as a side effect, consult your doctor immediately. Notify your doctor immediately if you have undergone any radiotherapy in your head. Inform your doctor immediately if you took any live vaccines inducing yellow fever and other medications before starting with Cytoplatin 50mg injection because it might reduce the effectiveness of this medicine and may cause side effects. Discuss your fertility problem with the doctor since, in men, this medicine can cause permanent infertility. So it is advised to get suggestions about fertility concerns. Avoid planning for the pregnancy. Inform your physician if you have pre-existing hearing conditions, blood disorders, neuropathy, or dehydration. You are recommended to drink a lot of water for 24 hours after receiving this drug to prevent or lessen kidney issues.

Lungs: Consult your doctor Consult your doctor if you experience symptoms like difficulties in breathing or chest pain while taking Cisplatin.
Breastfeeding: unsafe Breastfeeding during this treatment may not be safe. Your physician might suggest you to stop breastfeeding for some time, depending on your condition.
