Product Introduction
Dalbavan injection contains dalbavancin, a glycopeptide antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections in adults and children aged three months and above. It is also used to treat skin infections. Inform your doctor of all prescribed and non-prescribed medicines you are taking and maintain a proper diet during treatment. This information will help your doctor tailor treatment based on your medical history or adjust your dose as needed. Elderly patients with kidney disorders should exercise caution with this medicine and inform their doctor before starting treatment. If you are planning to become pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding, inform your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to dalbavancin or any ingredients in Dalbavan injection. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or diarrhoea.

How it works
Dalbavan injection acts by inhibiting the synthesis of cell walls in bacteria by binding with the peptidoglycan of the bacteria and is involved in bactericidal activity. It is the reason that the drug is effective against gram-positive bacteria (which have thick peptidoglycan) compared to gram-negative bacteria.
How to Use
This medicine is given only in a hospital setup by a healthcare provider. dalbavan injection will be given to you by your doctor. It is given intravenously (into a vein). Your physician will decide the dosage and frequency of this injection based on the severity of your disease and other factors.
Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Common Headache Feeling sick (nausea) Diarrhea

Inform your doctor immediately if you have sudden swelling of your lips, face, throat, or tongue; severe rash; itchiness; throat tightening; drop in blood pressure; difficulty in swallowing and difficulty in breathing; abdominal pain (stomach ache) and blood in the stool or watery diarrhoea and changes in hearing. Your doctor will recommend you monitor your liver and kidney to avoid undesirable side effects caused by the dalbavan injection. It is recommended to drink plenty of water to compensate for the water or electrolyte loss during diarrhea.
