Product Introduction
Dalbavancin is the active component in Dalba Injection. It belongs to the glycopeptide antibiotic class of medicines. It is used to treat bacterial infections in adults and children aged three months and older. It is also used to treat skin infections. Inform your doctor about all prescribed and non-prescribed medicines you are taking and maintain a proper diet during treatment. This information will help your doctor treat you based on your previous medical history or make necessary dose adjustments. Elderly patients with kidney disorders should exercise caution when taking this medicine and should inform their doctor before commencing treatment. Notify your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to dalbavancin or any ingredients in this injection. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, liver problems, or diarrhoea.

How it works
Dalba injection acts by inhibiting the synthesis of cell walls in bacteria by binding with the peptidoglycan of the bacteria and is involved in bactericidal activity. It is the reason that the drug is effective against gram-positive bacteria (which have thick peptidoglycan) compared to gram-negative bacteria.
How to Use
This medicine is given only in a hospital setup by a healthcare provider. Dalba Injection will be given to you by your doctor. It is given intravenously (into a vein). Your physician will decide the dosage and frequency of this injection based on the severity of your disease and other factors.
Side Effects

Inform your doctor immediately if you have sudden swelling of your lips, face, throat, or tongue; severe rash; itchiness; throat tightening; drop in blood pressure; difficulty in swallowing and difficulty in breathing; abdominal pain (stomach ache) and blood in the stool or watery diarrhoea and changes in hearing. Your doctor will recommend you monitor your liver and kidney to avoid undesirable side effects caused by the dalba Injection . It is recommended to drink plenty of water to compensate for the water or electrolyte loss during diarrhea.
