Product Introduction

Dapa Ace 10mg Tablet is an antidiabetic medication belonging to the sodium-glucose cotransport-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor class, containing dapagliflozin as the active ingredient. It is indicated for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients aged 18 years and above. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic condition characterised by elevated blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). The medication is also approved for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults, where it improves symptoms and reduces the risk of hospitalisation due to heart failure. Dapa Ace 10mg Tablet works primarily to control elevated blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes and must always be used alongside dietary modification and exercise. Your doctor may combine this medicine with other antidiabetic agents if your blood sugar remains elevated and uncontrolled. Do not use this medication if you are allergic to dapagliflozin or any component of this formulation. Notify your physician if you develop urinary tract infections, as this medicine may increase their occurrence. This medicine is unsuitable for patients under 18 years of age. Your doctor will monitor kidney function at least once yearly, or more frequently as clinically indicated during treatment. If you experience nausea, vomiting, fever, or inability to eat or drink while taking Dapa Ace 10mg Tablet, inform your doctor promptly. These conditions may lead to dehydration, and your doctor may recommend temporarily stopping the medication until recovery is achieved. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) can develop during treatment with this drug even when blood glucose levels appear normal. Should you experience symptoms suggestive of DKA, contact your doctor or seek hospital care immediately without delay.
