Product Introduction

Dapaglyn Tablet is an antidiabetic medication belonging to the sodium-glucose cotransport-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor class, with Dapagliflozin as its active ingredient. It is indicated for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients aged 18 years and above. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder marked by elevated blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). This medication is also approved for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults, where it helps improve symptoms and reduce hospitalisation risk related to heart failure. The primary action of this drug is to control elevated blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It should always be used alongside diet and exercise modifications. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine with other antidiabetic agents if your blood sugar remains high and inadequately controlled. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Dapaglyn Tablet or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you develop urinary tract infections, as this medicine may increase this risk. This medicine is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function at least annually, or more frequently as clinically indicated, during treatment with this medicine. If you experience nausea, vomiting, fever, or are unable to eat or drink while taking Dapaglyn Tablet, it is important to notify your doctor. These conditions can result in dehydration, and your doctor may recommend temporarily stopping the medication until recovery. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) can occur while taking this drug, even when blood glucose levels are normal. If you suspect symptoms of DKA, contact your doctor or proceed to the nearest hospital immediately.
