Product Introduction

Dapefy 10mg tablet is an antidiabetic medication belonging to the sodium-glucose cotransport-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor class, containing dapagliflozin as its active ingredient. It is indicated for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients aged 18 years and above. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic condition marked by elevated blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). This medication is also approved for the treatment of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults, where it helps reduce symptoms and lower the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure. The primary action of this drug is to control elevated blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It should always be used alongside diet and exercise modifications. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine in combination with other antidiabetic agents if your blood sugar remains high and inadequately controlled. Do not use this medicine if you have an allergy to dapagliflozin or any other ingredient in Dapefy 10mg tablet. Inform your doctor if you develop urinary tract infections, as this medicine may increase the risk of UTI. This medicine is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age. Your doctor will monitor kidney function at least annually, or more frequently as clinically indicated, while you are taking this medicine. If you experience nausea, vomiting, fever, or inability to eat or drink during treatment with Dapefy 10mg tablet, inform your doctor promptly. These symptoms can lead to dehydration, and your doctor may recommend temporarily stopping the medication until recovery is achieved. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) can occur while taking this drug, even when blood glucose levels appear normal. If you experience symptoms suggestive of DKA, contact your doctor or attend the nearest hospital immediately.
