Product Introduction
Darberel 40mcg Injection contains the active ingredient Darbepoetin Alfa, a hematopoietic growth factor used to treat anaemia (low red blood cell count) in patients with chronic kidney disease or anaemia resulting from chemotherapy in certain cancers. It works by stimulating the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells, thereby improving oxygen delivery throughout the body. The dosage is determined by your doctor based on your medical condition and haemoglobin levels. It is administered subcutaneously or intravenously under medical supervision. Patients trained in the correct administration technique may also use it at home after receiving proper guidance. Store the medicine as per storage instructions — usually in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C, away from light and freezing conditions. Inform your physician before use if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding to ensure safe treatment.
Uses
Darberel 40mcg Injection uses are To treat anemia in chronic kidney failure To treat anemia caused by chemotherapy
How it works
Darberel Injection (Darberel 40mcg Injection) is an erythropoiesis-stimulating protein produced using recombinant DNA technology. It is closely related to erythropoietin and works by the same mechanism—stimulating erythropoiesis, the process of red blood cell formation. Both agents bind to progenitor stem cells in the bone marrow, encouraging the production and differentiation of red blood cells. Darberel injection helps increase red blood cell count by prompting the bone marrow to produce more, making it effective in treating anemia associated with chronic kidney disease or chemotherapy.

Expert Tips
Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully regarding the exact dose and frequency of administration. This medicine is given as a subcutaneous injection (a shot under the skin). A nurse or healthcare professional will usually administer the injection, but you may be trained to use it at home. Understand all instructions thoroughly before giving yourself the injection. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or use the medicine more frequently than directed by your doctor. Do not shake the vial or syringe before use. You will be advised on the specific body areas suitable for injection. Rotate injection sites: use a different area each time to prevent irritation or tissue damage. Keep a record of injection sites to ensure proper rotation. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, tell your doctor if you have kidney or heart disease, heart failure, blood disorders, infections, cancer, or a history of blood clots, heart attack, stroke, or seizures.
