Product Introduction
Daruvir 800 mg Tablet is an antiretroviral medicine from the protease inhibitor class, containing darunavir as the active ingredient. It is used as part of an HIV treatment regimen to manage HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults and children aged three years or older by supporting the immune system's capacity to fight the virus. Although it does not cure HIV, it can reduce the risk of developing acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related illnesses. For optimal therapeutic effect, Daruvir must be taken in combination with ritonavir or cobicistat and other prescribed antiretroviral medicines.
Do not use Daruvir if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, including hepatitis B or C, as liver function may require monitoring before and during treatment. This medicine can elevate blood sugar levels, so patients with diabetes should be monitored closely. Report any signs of infection, such as enlarged lymph nodes or fever, to your physician promptly. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before beginning treatment. In men, Daruvir can pass into semen; effective contraception should be used during treatment and for seven days after the last dose.
