Deereg Tablet contains ulipristal acetate, a selective progesterone receptor modulator (SPRM) that acts on progesterone receptors in the body. It is indicated for emergency contraception and treatment of uterine fibroids.

As an emergency contraceptive, Deereg Tablet may be used within 120 hours (5 days) of unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure. For uterine fibroid treatment, it is used in adult women with moderate to severe symptoms. Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths that develop in the uterus and may cause heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure on the bladder or rectum. The medication works to shrink fibroids and reduce associated symptoms.

Deereg Tablet is available by prescription only. Before initiating treatment, patients should discuss with their healthcare provider whether the medication is appropriate for their clinical situation and receive guidance on proper usage.
