Product Introduction

Defort 30mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Deflazacort, a synthetic glucocorticoid steroid used to treat inflammation, allergies, autoimmune disorders, and certain cancers. The medication works by suppressing the immune system and reducing inflammation throughout the body. It is commonly prescribed for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a genetic disorder characterised by progressive muscle weakness and wasting. In patients with DMD, Deflazacort may improve muscle strength and slow disease progression.

Seek immediate medical attention if you develop chickenpox or measles during treatment. Inform your doctor if you have sensitivity to Deflazacort or any ingredients in this formulation. Do not receive live or attenuated vaccines while taking this medication. Patients with diabetes should notify their healthcare provider, as blood glucose monitoring may need to be intensified and diabetes medications may require adjustment during treatment. If surgery is planned, discuss with your doctor the appropriate timing for stopping Defort 30mg Tablet before the procedure and when treatment can be safely resumed afterwards.
