Defrijet FCT 180mg Tablet is a chelating agent containing Deferasirox, used to treat chronic iron overload resulting from transfusion-dependent anemias, including beta-thalassemia and certain myelodysplastic syndromes. Repeated blood transfusions in these conditions lead to excessive iron accumulation in the body.

Inform your doctor immediately if you develop allergies, ulcers, skin reactions, or bleeding during treatment. Your doctor will periodically monitor your blood counts, serum creatinine, and liver parameters to prevent serious complications. Vision changes require urgent medical attention.

Defrijet FCT 180mg Tablet is not recommended for patients with poor performance status, myelodysplastic syndrome, advanced cancer, or glomerular filtration rate lower than 40ml/min/1.73m2. The medicine should not be used in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment and requires cautious use in patients with pre-existing kidney or liver conditions.
