Product Introduction

Denoclast 60 mg Injection is a prescription medication used to treat a range of bone disorders, including osteoporosis, bone metastases, and giant cell tumour of the bone. It contains Denosumab, a monoclonal antibody that reduces bone loss by blocking the activity of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue. This action helps improve bone strength and lowers the risk of fractures.

Classified as a bone resorption inhibitor, Denoclast 60 mg is commonly prescribed for postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, men with reduced bone density, and patients with bone metastases from solid tumours to minimize skeletal complications. It may also be recommended for the management of giant cell tumours affecting the bone.

The injection should only be administered under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. It is not recommended for individuals with low blood calcium levels (hypocalcaemia) or those with severe kidney impairment. Patients with existing dental conditions should use this medicine cautiously, as it may increase the risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw. Additionally, Denoclast is generally not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically recommended by a healthcare provider. Before starting treatment, patients should inform their doctor about any existing medical conditions and all medications they are taking to ensure safe and effective use.

Uses

Denoclast Injection Uses: Effective in managing bone pain and reducing the risk of fractures in cancer patients. Slows down bone loss and increases bone mass in osteoporotic patients. Used in other conditions that cause bone weakening and pain.

How it works

Denoclast 60mg, containing the active ingredient Denosumab, works by inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue. This action reduces bone resorption, leading to increased bone density and strength. The therapeutic effects of Denoclast are particularly beneficial in managing conditions like osteoporosis, where it helps prevent fractures by improving bone density. Additionally, it is used to reduce the risk of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases from cancer and can be effective in treating giant cell tumours of the bone. By strengthening bones and reducing complications from weakened bone structures, Denoclast plays a critical role in improving bone health.

How to Use

Denoclast 60mg Injection is given as an injection by healthcare professionals. The dosage and duration of treatment will be based on the individual's condition and response to the medication and should be determined by a healthcare provider.
