Product Introduction

Dydetrogyl Tablet contains the active component dydrogesterone. It is used to regulate irregular menstrual cycles and to treat dysfunctional uterine bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, and secondary amenorrhea. It is also used as hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women, particularly when estrogen therapy alone is contraindicated. It is combined with other medications in assisted reproductive techniques, such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF), to support embryo implantation. In some cases of threatened miscarriage, it may be prescribed to help maintain the pregnancy.

Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to dydrogesterone or any component of this tablet should not use this medication. It should be avoided in patients with a history of thromboembolic disorders, including deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or cerebrovascular accidents. Patients with severe liver impairment should not use this medication, as it may exacerbate the condition. In patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, the cause must be established before Dydetrogyl Tablet is used. It should not be used in patients with known or suspected estrogen-dependent tumours, such as certain breast or uterine cancers, Dubin-Johnson syndrome, or Rotor syndrome.

Dydetrogyl Tablet can be used in elderly patients; however, caution should be exercised, particularly in those with liver impairment or a history of thromboembolic disorders. It is typically not indicated for use in children and adolescents.
