Product Introduction
Dydrofic 10mg Tablet contains dydrogesterone as its active component. It is used to regulate irregular menstrual cycles and to treat dysfunctional uterine bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, and secondary amenorrhea. It serves as hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women when estrogen therapy alone is contraindicated. It is combined with other medications in assisted reproductive techniques, including in vitro fertilisation (IVF), to support embryo implantation. In threatened miscarriage, it may be prescribed to help maintain pregnancy.
Dydrofic 10mg Tablet should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to dydrogesterone or any component of the formulation. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of thromboembolic disorders, including deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or cerebrovascular accidents. Severe liver impairment is a contraindication, as the medication may worsen the condition. Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding should be investigated and its cause established before using Dydrofic 10mg Tablet. It must not be used in patients with known or suspected estrogen-dependent tumours, such as certain types of breast or uterine cancer, Dubin-Johnson syndrome, or Rotor syndrome.
Elderly patients may use this medication; however, caution is warranted in those with liver impairment or a history of thromboembolic disorders. Use in children and adolescents is not typically indicated.
