Product Introduction

Dytor Injection contains torasemide, a loop diuretic. It works by reducing excess fluid levels in the body. This medication is primarily indicated for the treatment of oedema associated with fluid overload in patients with heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease. It is also used in the management of high blood pressure.

This medication should be taken as advised by your doctor. Taking it approximately 4 hours before bedtime may help reduce nocturnal urination. Consistent timing of administration each day is important. The dosage will be individualised based on your clinical condition and response to therapy.

Common side effects include headache, fatigue, dizziness, gastrointestinal upset, dehydration, and decreased blood pressure. It is advisable to take this medication when you are in good health. Discontinuing the medication without medical guidance may lead to worsening of your condition.

Alongside pharmacotherapy, lifestyle modifications may enhance treatment effectiveness. These include regular physical activity, stress reduction, smoking cessation, and limiting alcohol consumption.

Before initiating Dytor Injection, inform your doctor of any history of kidney or liver disease. Provide a complete list of all medications you are currently taking. Disclose if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as this medication may cause adverse effects and congenital abnormalities in the developing foetus. Potassium supplementation should be considered as this medication reduces serum potassium levels. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is necessary during treatment.
