Product Introduction
Dytor Plus 20mg Tablet contains spironolactone and torasemide, which belong to the class of aldosterone receptor antagonists and loop diuretics. These medicines are used principally in the treatment of heart failure and hypertension (high blood pressure). They are also used to treat hypokalaemia (low potassium levels in the body) and reduce oedema (swelling in the body). This medication should be taken as advised by your doctor. It may be taken in the morning to minimise frequent urination during night hours. Take this medicine with food at the same time each day. Do not discontinue this medication when you feel better, as this may worsen your condition. If you are taking this medication for high blood pressure alongside other medicines, you should follow lifestyle modifications such as regular exercise and a low-sodium diet to enhance the effectiveness of this medicine. Avoid alcohol consumption as it increases the side effects of this medication. Common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and swelling. Breast tenderness is common in both men and women. Before starting this medication, inform your doctor of any kidney, heart, and liver diseases you have had for an extended period. Disclose all medications you are taking for other conditions and inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as it may cause harmful effects and birth defects in a developing child. Blood pressure and potassium levels should be monitored regularly, and kidney function tests should be assessed while taking this medication.
Uses

How it works
This drug works by blocking the action of aldosterone, a hormone that regulates salt and water balance in the body. By blocking aldosterone, spironolactone reduces the amount of sodium and water reabsorbed by the kidneys, which helps to decrease fluid retention and lower blood pressure. The other drug works by increasing the excretion of water and electrolytes from the kidneys, which helps to reduce excess fluid buildup in the body.
How to Use
This medication is taken as per the advice of the doctor. It can be taken in the morning in order to avoid frequent urination during night times. Take this medication at the same time every day. Avoid breaking or chewing the tablet. Instead, swallow it whole with a glass of water.
