Product Introduction

Dytor Plus LS 10 mg Tablet contains spironolactone and torasemide, which belong to the class of aldosterone receptor antagonists and loop diuretics. These medicines are primarily used in the treatment of heart failure and hypertension (high blood pressure). They are also indicated for managing low potassium levels in the body, known as hypokalaemia, and for reducing swelling (oedema) in the body. This medication should be taken as advised by your doctor. It can be taken in the morning to avoid frequent urination during night times. It is important to take this medicine with food at the same time every day. Do not stop taking this medication when you feel better as it can worsen the condition. If you are taking this medication for high blood pressure along with other medicines, you should follow lifestyle modifications such as regular exercise and a low salt diet to increase the effectiveness of this medicine. Avoid alcohol consumption as it increases the side effects of this medication. Common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, dizziness and swelling. Tenderness of breasts is common in both men and women. Before starting this medication, discuss any kidney, heart and liver diseases that you have had for a prolonged period of time. Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking for different conditions and mention your pregnancy status, plans for pregnancy, or if you are breastfeeding, as it can cause harmful effects and birth defects in a developing child. Blood pressure and potassium levels should be checked regularly and kidney function tests should be monitored whilst taking this medication.

The other drug works by increasing the excretion of water and electrolytes from the kidneys, which helps to reduce excess fluid buildup in the body.
