Product Introduction
Ecosprin 75mg Tablet is an antiplatelet drug in the platelet aggregation inhibitors category, containing aspirin as the active ingredient. It is indicated for angina, heart attack, and stroke. The tablet is also used for arthritis, muscle aches, headaches, and menstrual cramps, and to reduce elevated body temperature associated with fever. This drug functions as an antiplatelet agent to reduce the risk of blood clot formation and to prevent recurrence of heart attacks or strokes in patients who have previously experienced these conditions. The drug should not be given to children and teenagers who have or are recovering from viral infections, particularly chickenpox or influenza, as it has been associated with Reye's syndrome, a serious condition affecting the liver and brain. This medicine is primarily metabolised in the liver and eliminated through the kidneys. Patients with severe liver or kidney disease may have impaired clearance of this drug and increased risk of toxicity. Caution is advised, and dosage adjustment may be necessary. Ecosprin 75mg Tablet can increase bleeding risk and is contraindicated in patients with active bleeding conditions such as bleeding ulcers, bleeding disorders, or recent haemorrhagic stroke. Regarding fertility, this drug may temporarily affect fertility in women, though the effect is generally reversible upon discontinuation. Patients with concerns about effects on fertility should discuss them with their healthcare professional. Any skin or hypersensitivity reactions should be reported to the healthcare provider, and immediate medical attention should be sought if severe reaction symptoms occur. This drug may trigger asthma or bronchospasm in individuals sensitive to it, a condition known as aspirin-induced asthma, which primarily occurs in patients with a history of asthma or nasal polyps. Patients with any respiratory problems should inform their doctor before taking Ecosprin 75mg Tablet so the doctor can evaluate the specific condition and determine if this drug is safe or if an alternative medication should be considered.

How it works
Ecosprin 75mg Tablet works by inhibiting the activity of an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX), specifically COX-1, which is involved in the production of thromboxane A2. Thromboxane A2 promotes platelet aggregation, which can lead to the formation of blood clots. By inhibiting thromboxane A2 production, it helps to prevent excessive platelet aggregation and reduces the risk of blood clot formation.
