Avoid this medication if you have active bleeding, severe liver disease, or abnormal liver function test results. Do not take this medicine if you have a history of blood clotting disorders, cerebral haemorrhage, or ulcers in the stomach or small intestine. Avoid use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Notify your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, under-active thyroid gland, previous muscle problems, excessive alcohol consumption, liver disease, age over 70, dehydration, high blood pressure, or lack of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD).
