Conditions: Nerve Disorder

Product Introduction

Edanox injection is a free radical scavenger containing the active ingredient Edaravone, which belongs to the class of neuroprotective agents with antioxidant properties. It is indicated for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The medicine is thought to work by reducing cellular damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules capable of damaging cells.

Do not use Edanox injection if you are allergic to Edaravone or any of its ingredients. This medicine contains sodium bisulfite, which can trigger allergic reactions including anaphylaxis and asthma in some patients. Discuss any allergies or concerns with your healthcare provider before use.

During treatment, it is essential to monitor liver function and blood cell counts for potential adverse effects. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of drug allergies or adverse reactions. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor of all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently using to assess potential interactions.

Before taking this medicine, notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suspect you may be pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. The safety and effectiveness of this medicine have not been established for use in children.
