How it works
Efectal S 1500mg/1.5gm injection is a combination of ceftriaxone and sulbactam, effective against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Ceftriaxone, an antibiotic, works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial protective covering crucial for bacteria survival. Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, reduces resistance and enhances ceftriaxone's effectiveness against bacteria.

Expert Tips
Efectal S 1500mg/1.5gm injection is recommended only in children of 1 year of age or older. You have been given this combination medication to treat bacterial infections, even in cases where resistance has developed. Complete the entire prescribed course, even if you begin to feel better. If you stop it early, the infection might return and become harder to treat because the bacteria could develop resistance to the medicine. Be aware that diarrhea might occur as a side effect. You can minimize this by taking probiotics such as yogurt, other fermented foods, and dietary supplements alongside efectal S 1500mg/1.5gm injection. You must talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or experience abdominal cramps. Remember to take the medication with food and drink plenty of fluids to prevent an upset stomach. If you experiance an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat, or tongue or experience difficulty breathing while taking Efectal S 1500mg/1.5gm injection, stop taking the medication and contact your doctor immediately.
