Product Introduction

Emend 150mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting. It is commonly used to control acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy, including high-dose cisplatin (highly emetogenic) and moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy regimens. Oral contraceptives may lose efficacy during treatment with Emend 150mg Injection. Concurrent use with warfarin significantly alters blood clotting time; monitoring of patients receiving chronic warfarin therapy is necessary before initiating Emend 150mg Injection. The medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. The dosage regimen includes oral dexamethasone as part of the treatment protocol. Patients should inform their physician of any existing medical conditions. Patients receiving warfarin therapy or oral contraceptive medication should inform their doctor prior to commencing Emend 150mg Injection.
