Product Introduction
Emoclot 500IU Injection is an antihemophilic agent classified as a miscellaneous coagulation modifier. It contains Factor VIII as its active ingredient and is used to treat and prevent bleeding in patients with hemophilia A, a genetic disorder characterised by deficiency or dysfunction of factor VIII, a clotting protein in the blood.
This injection is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the drug or any of its components. If a rash or skin symptoms develop, discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately. Treatment with this drug increases cardiovascular risk. Patients with existing heart disease should discuss this with their physician before starting Emoclot 500IU Injection.
A central venous access device (CVAD) may be required for administering this treatment. Associated CVAD-related complications include local infections, bacteremia (bacterial infection in the bloodstream), and catheter site thrombosis (blood clot formation at the catheter site). Proper care and monitoring are necessary to minimise these risks.
Development of inhibitors (antibodies) is a recognised complication during treatment with this medicine. These inhibitors can reduce the effectiveness of the drug. Patients receiving Emoclot 500IU Injection should be closely monitored for inhibitor development. If bleeding remains uncontrolled despite treatment, notify your doctor immediately.
Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their doctor before initiating treatment with this drug.

The therapeutic effect of Emoclot 500IU Injection By facilitating the clotting process, Emoclot 500IU Injection helps prevent and control bleeding episodes in individuals with hemophilia A and other conditions associated with low factor VIII levels. It reduces the chance of complications such as bleeding, excessive blood loss, and related health issues.

Expert Tips
If you regularly or repeatedly receive human plasma-derived Emoclot 500IU Injection products, your doctor may recommend vaccination against hepatitis A and B. It is because there is a possible risk of exposure to these viruses through plasma-derived products. Vaccination can help protect against these infections. Good dental hygiene is important to maintain oral health and prevent tooth and gum disease. It is particularly relevant for individuals with bleeding disorders such as hemophilia A, as they may be more susceptible to excessive bleeding. If you notice any changes in your symptoms or have concerns about the treatment with Emoclot 500IU Injection, immediately communicate them to your physician for more advice.
