Categories: Infectious Disease

Conditions: Antibacterials

Product Introduction

Epime-TZ injection is an antibiotic containing the active ingredient Cefazolin sodium. It is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, joints, and bones. The medication works by killing bacteria responsible for infection. It is also used for infection prevention before and after surgical procedures.

Do not use Epime-TZ injection if you have allergies to Cefazolin sodium, other cephalosporin antibiotics, penicillins, other beta-lactam drugs, or any ingredient in the formulation. Inform your doctor before taking this medicine if you have a history of intestinal disorders, particularly colitis, kidney problems, or if you follow a low-sodium diet. Epime-TZ injection is not recommended for premature infants or infants under one month of age, as safety in these populations has not been established. Discuss with your doctor the need for additional contraception while taking Cefazolin sodium, as certain antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of some birth control pills.

How it works
