Esomac 40mg tablet is an antiulcer medication belonging to the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class, containing the active ingredient esomeprazole. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (a condition in which stomach acid and contents flow back into the esophagus, causing heartburn, regurgitation, and difficulty swallowing), peptic ulcers, and other acid-related disorders. Inform your physician immediately if you are allergic to this drug or any of its ingredients. Patients with severe liver impairment may have reduced liver function, which can affect how the body metabolises and eliminates esomeprazole. In such situations, dose adjustment or alternative treatment options may be necessary. This tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or vision changes in some individuals. If these effects occur, avoid activities requiring alertness such as driving, cycling, or operating machinery until the symptoms resolve.
