Product Introduction
Etopxel 50mg Capsule is an anticancer medication containing Etoposide. It belongs to the cytostatic drug class and is indicated for treatment of certain cancers including testicular cancer, small-cell lung cancer, acute myeloid leukaemia, lymphomas (Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma), and ovarian cancer in adults. Inform your doctor if you have received or are receiving radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Report any infections or low albumin levels in your blood to your doctor. Etopxel 50mg Capsule must not be taken if you have recently received yellow fever vaccination or any live vaccines. Prior to initiating treatment, inform your physician of any current or past kidney problems or liver disorders. Both women and men must use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months following the final dose. Men should not father a child during treatment and up to 6 months after treatment completion. Discuss fertility concerns with your doctor. Etopxel 50mg Capsule may reduce blood cell levels and increase infection risk. Your doctor may order regular blood tests to monitor kidney and liver function. Safety in children has not been established.
Uses
Testicular cancer Small-cell lung cancer Acute myeloid leukemia (blood cancer) Hodgkinâs lymphoma and non-Hodgkinâs lymphoma Ovarian cancer
How it works
Etopxel 50mg Capsule works by inhibiting the activity of topoisomerase II (essential for cell replication) and DNA synthesis, which will prevent cancer cells from growing and multiplying, ultimately leading to cell death.
How to Use
Etopxel 50mg Capsule is taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water. Avoid chewing, breaking, or crushing it. Your physician will choose the dosage based on your medical condition because it differs for each person.
Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Expert Tips
Discuss your fertility problem with the doctor since, in men, it is advised not to father a child during and after the 6 months of treatment. So it is advised to get suggestions about fertility concerns. Avoid planning for the pregnancy. If you experience any symptoms mentioned as a side effect, consult your doctor immediately. Notify your doctor immediately if you have undergone or are taking or planning any radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Inform your doctor immediately if you took any vaccines inducing yellow fever and live vaccine and other medications before starting with Etopxel 50mg Capsule because it might reduce the effectiveness of this medicine and may cause side effects. Inform your doctor if you have or had any history of heart disease, kidney problems, or liver problems.
