Product Introduction
Etosid 100mg Injection contains Etoposide, a cytostatic anticancer agent. It is indicated for treatment of testicular cancer, small-cell lung cancer, acute myeloid leukaemia, lymphomas (Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's), and ovarian cancer in adults.
Inform your doctor if you are currently undergoing or have recently undergone radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Report any active infections or low blood albumin levels to your physician. Do not receive this injection if you have recently been vaccinated with yellow fever vaccine or any live vaccines.
Prior to commencing treatment, disclose to your doctor any history of kidney problems or liver disorders. Both male and female patients must employ effective contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months after the final dose. Male patients should not attempt to father a child during treatment and for up to 6 months thereafter. Discuss fertility concerns with your doctor before starting therapy.
Etosid 100mg Injection may reduce blood cell counts and increase infection risk. Your doctor will likely arrange regular blood tests to monitor kidney and liver function during treatment. Safety in children has not been established.
Uses
Testicular cancer Small-cell lung cancer Acute myeloid leukemia (blood cancer) Hodgkinâs lymphoma and non-Hodgkinâs lymphoma Ovarian cancer
How it works
Etosid 100mg works by inhibiting the activity of topoisomerase II (essential for cell replication) and DNA synthesis, which will prevent cancer cells from growing and multiplying, ultimately leading to cell death.
How to Use
Etosid 100mg injection is administered as an intravenous infusion into the vein. If this injection is recommended for you, it will be given by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administrate. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.

Expert Tips
Discuss your fertility problem with the doctor since, in men, it is advised not to father a child during and after the 6 months of treatment. So it is advised to get suggestions about fertility concerns. Avoid planning for the pregnancy. If you experience any symptoms mentioned as a side effect, consult your doctor immediately. Notify your doctor immediately if you have undergone or are taking or planning any radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Inform your doctor immediately if you took any vaccines inducing yellow fever and live vaccine and other medications before starting with Etosid 100mg because it might reduce the effectiveness of this medicine and may cause side effects. Inform your doctor if you have or had any history of heart disease, kidney problems, or liver problems.
