Product Introduction
Euvifol HP 75IU Injection contains Urofollitropin, a purified follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) that belongs to the class of medicines known as gonadotropins. It is primarily used to treat infertility in both women and men by stimulating reproductive hormone activity and improving the chances of conception.
In women, Euvifol HP 75IU Injection is prescribed for those who are unable to ovulate, including women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS/PCOD) who have not responded adequately to Clomiphene Citrate treatment. It is also commonly used during in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and other assisted reproductive technologies (ART) to stimulate the development of multiple ovarian follicles, increasing the likelihood of successful fertilisation and pregnancy.
In men, Euvifol HP 75IU Injection is used to treat certain types of infertility associated with a low sperm count, helping to stimulate sperm production when prescribed as part of a comprehensive fertility treatment plan.
Do not use Euvifol HP 75IU Injection if you are allergic to Urofollitropin or any of its ingredients. This medicine is also not recommended for individuals with hormone-dependent cancers or tumors affecting the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, ovaries, uterus, breasts, testicles, or prostate gland. Before starting treatment, your healthcare provider may perform tests to evaluate thyroid function, hormone levels, and rule out any underlying endocrine disorders or tumors.
Euvifol HP 75IU Injection should not be used if you have ovarian cysts unrelated to PCOS, unexplained vaginal bleeding, premature menopause, certain structural abnormalities of the reproductive organs, or if you have undergone removal of the uterus. It is also not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Seek immediate medical attention if you develop symptoms such as severe abdominal pain or swelling, rapid weight gain, persistent diarrhea, breathing difficulty, or reduced urine output, as these may indicate a serious reaction such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver disease, blood clotting disorders, or any other significant medical condition before beginning treatment. Always use Euvifol HP 75IU Injection exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider for the best treatment outcome.
Uses
Infertility in women
How it works
In the absence of sufficient endogenous luteinizing hormone (LH), Euvifol HP 75IU Injection bind to the follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSH), resulting in ovulation. It also attaches to the LH receptor, causing appropriate hormone release and treats infertility in women.
How to Use
Euvifol HP 75IU Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic setting. It is given as an intramuscular injection (into your muscles) or under the skin. Do not self-administer the injection. Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity, body weight, and other factors.
Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Common Abdominal pain or swelling Headache Nausea Pelvic pain Overstimulation of ovaries Pain or inflammation at the injection site Mood swings Serious Severe allergic reactions (hypersensitivity reactions)
Expert Tips
If you have missed any dosing appointments, inform your doctor and schedule immediately. Euvifol HP 75IU Injection can increase your risk of ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside of the womb) if you have a history of fallopian tube disease, miscarriage, multiple pregnancies (twins and triplets), and birth defects in the baby. Your doctor will regularly perform ultrasound scans and blood tests to monitor your response to the treatment.
