Product Introduction

Evatone 2mg Tablet contains estradiol, an active ingredient belonging to vaginal Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) medicines. It is a form of estrogen with identical properties to oestrogen naturally synthesised by women's ovaries. It is indicated for treatment of menopausal symptoms including vaginal atrophy (dryness or irritation of the vagina) in elderly women who have passed the menopause stage.

Do not use Evatone 2mg Tablet if you are allergic to estradiol or its constituents. It is contraindicated in patients with breast cancer or any oestrogen receptor-sensitive malignancy. Do not use if you have a clotting disorder, blood clot in the veins (lungs or legs), or unexplained vaginal bleeding. It is contraindicated in patients with history of heart attack, stroke, angina, or abnormal liver function tests. Evatone 2mg Tablet is not given to patients with porphyria, a rare inherited blood disorder.

Estrogen intake elevates the risk of gallbladder disease. Discontinue estrogen if cholestatic jaundice, severe hypertriglyceridemia, severe hypercalcaemia, or vision loss develops. Close monitoring is advised in women receiving thyroid replacement treatment.

Inform your doctor if you have vaginal bleeding, heart, kidney, lung or liver problems, diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, or hearing disorder. Inform your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Discuss your complete medical history with your doctor. Inform your healthcare provider of all medicines you are taking, including herbal, vitamin, and over-the-counter medicines.

How it works
