Exeget 25mg Tablet

Exeget 25mg Tablet is an anticancer medication containing Exemestane as its active ingredient. It is classified as an aromatase inhibitor. In postmenopausal women, it is indicated for the treatment of hormone-dependent early breast cancer following 2–3 years of Tamoxifen therapy, and for hormone-dependent advanced breast cancer. Cancer is characterised by uncontrolled and abnormal cell multiplication.

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to Exemestane or any other ingredient in this formulation, if you have not attained menopause, or if you suspect you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Exeget 25mg Tablet is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age.

Inform your doctor before commencing treatment if you have hepatic or renal impairment, or a history of bone disease, as this medicine can reduce bone mineral density and strength. Notify your doctor of any other medications you are taking concurrently with this treatment. Regular monitoring of vitamin D levels will be performed; if your level is below normal, vitamin D supplementation will be provided. Disclose all medications you have recently taken to your doctor prior to starting this medicine. Use effective contraception during treatment with this medicine.

Breast cancer

Exesin 25mg Tablet inhibits the enzyme aromatase, which is responsible for the conversion of androgens (male hormones) to estrogen (female hormones). By inhibiting aromatase, Exesin 25mg Tablet reduces the levels of estrogen in the body. This can stop or reduce the growth of different hormone-sensitive breast cancer cells, which depends on estrogen.

Swallow the tablet whole with water. The usual recommended dose is one tablet daily. Avoid chewing, breaking, or crushing it. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms produced by medication. Even though all medications cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
