Product Introduction
Fabiflu 400mg tablet is an antiviral medication containing the active ingredient Favipiravir. It belongs to the Pyrazinecarboxamide derivative class of drugs. It is used to treat influenza and other viral infections, including Covid-19. It is not recommended for patients younger than 18 years. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to Favipiravir or any other ingredient in the formulation. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you have abnormalities in uric acid metabolism, including gout or hyperuricemia. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. In men, this medicine can be present in semen, so effective contraception should be used during treatment and for seven days after the last dose. Discuss fertility concerns with your doctor. Before starting Fabiflu 400mg tablet, inform your doctor of all other medicines you are taking.

How it works
Fabiflu 400mg tablet metabolizes to ribosyl triphosphate and converts into its active form called Fabiflu 400mg-RTP. It works by restricting the activity of the RNA polymerase enzyme that is necessary for viral replication. It works by stopping the replication of the infection-causing virus in the body.
How to Use
Take the Fabiflu 400mg tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.

Breastfeeding: unsafe Taking a Fabiflu 400mg tablet while breastfeeding may be unsafe because it may affect the child. Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine. Therefore, talk with your doctor to get more information.
