Product Introduction

Fenoxene 50mg injection contains phenoxybenzamine as its active component. It is indicated primarily for the treatment of pheochromocytoma, a rare tumour that typically develops in the adrenal glands. The medication works to lower blood pressure, which is a critical consideration in managing pheochromocytoma symptoms. It provides relief from tumour-related symptoms including severe hypertension, tachycardia, sweating, headache, and anxiety. In situations where surgical removal of the tumour is not immediately feasible, or in cases of metastatic disease, it may be used for long-term management. The decision to initiate this medication should be made in consultation with a healthcare professional.

Fenoxene 50mg injection is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to phenoxybenzamine or any component of the formulation. Prior to commencing therapy, patients should inform their healthcare provider of any existing allergies or hypersensitivities. The medication is contraindicated in patients with severe coronary artery disease or a history of myocardial infarction. It should not be administered to patients with peptic ulcer disease, as it may aggravate peptic ulcers or other gastrointestinal conditions. Use in the paediatric population is generally not recommended due to limited clinical data. Elderly patients may demonstrate increased sensitivity to the effects of Fenoxene 50mg injection, including postural hypotension and dizziness, and therefore require consultation with a healthcare provider regarding dosing and monitoring.
