Conditions: Iron Deficiency

Product Introduction

Ferisome Tablet is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia, a condition characterised by insufficient iron to support adequate red blood cell production, manifesting as fatigue, weakness, and related symptoms. The medication elevates hemoglobin levels and facilitates red blood cell formation. It is also used for prevention of iron deficiency in at-risk populations, including pregnant and breastfeeding individuals, those in post-surgical recovery, and patients with nutritional malabsorption disorders. Ferisome Tablet is contraindicated in patients with allergy to any component of the formulation. Use is also contraindicated in hemolytic anaemia, iron storage or absorption disorders, and diagnosed megaloblastic anaemia. Evidence regarding iron supplementation and blood pressure elevation in patients with hypertension remains unclear; however, some studies suggest a potential association. Medical consultation is advisable prior to initiating Ferisome Tablet in patients with elevated blood pressure.
