Product Introduction
Ferium 1gm injection contains ferric carboxymaltose as its active substance. It is an iron replacement product indicated for the treatment of iron-deficiency anaemia (reduced red blood cells due to insufficient iron levels in the body) in adults and paediatric patients who cannot tolerate oral iron or when oral iron supplements have proven ineffective. It is also used to treat iron deficiency anaemia in adults with chronic kidney disease who are not receiving dialysis. This medicine is not recommended for paediatric patients under one year of age. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to ferric carboxymaltose or any other ingredients in this medicine. Do not receive Ferium 1gm injection if you have anaemia not caused by iron deficiency, iron overload (excessive iron in the body), or difficulties in utilising iron. Inform your physician if you have rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, infection, liver disorders, or low phosphate levels in the blood. Improper administration of this injection may cause irritation and persistent discolouration at the injection site. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting treatment with Ferium 1gm injection. The most commonly reported side effects are nausea, hypertension, flushing, injection site reactions, skin reactions, vomiting, and dizziness. Inform your physician if you have previously experienced serious allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions to other injectable iron preparations.

How it works
