It offers an alternative to oral iron supplementation for elderly patients, children, and pregnant women, with a lower side-effect profile. Patients with known allergy to disodium guanosine 5-monophosphate, lactoferrin, or other tablet ingredients should avoid use. Dosing must follow medical guidance. Overdose should be avoided.
