Product Introduction

Fesomalt 500mg Injection contains the active ingredient Iron (III) Isomaltoside and belongs to the anti-anemic medicines class. It is used as an iron replacement therapy to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults who are intolerant to oral iron or have inadequate response to oral iron preparations. The medication also treats this condition in patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis who cannot tolerate oral iron supplementation. Due to limited safety and efficacy data, Fesomalt 500mg Injection is not recommended in individuals under 18 years of age, including children and adolescents.

Do not use Fesomalt 500mg Injection if you are allergic to Iron (III) Isomaltoside or any ingredient in the formulation. Avoid this medication if the anemia is not caused by iron deficiency (such as haemolytic anemia), if you have iron overload or impaired iron metabolism, or if you have a history of severe allergic reactions to other injectable iron preparations and active liver disease.

Inform your doctor prior to receiving Fesomalt 500mg Injection if you have a history of drug allergy, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, or severe asthma. Also notify your doctor if you have eczema, other allergies, an ongoing bloodstream bacterial infection, or reduced liver function.
