Product Introduction

Flexivec-N Injection contains influenza vaccine as its active component. It is designed to prevent infection with the influenza virus. In vaccinated individuals who do contract influenza, the vaccine may reduce symptom severity and illness duration. Influenza poses particular risk to elderly patients, young children, pregnant women, and patients with certain chronic health conditions. Vaccination of these populations helps protect against severe complications and reduces hospitalisation and mortality risk. Higher vaccination rates in communities reduce influenza transmission. Some patients may be allergic to vaccine components, including eggs or other ingredients, requiring specific precautions. Patients with severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of Flexivec-N Injection may be advised against receiving further doses. Patients with history of Guillain-Barré syndrome should consult a healthcare provider before receiving this vaccine, as an association between GBS and influenza vaccination has been documented. Patients with kidney disease can safely receive Flexivec-N Injection. It is recommended for older adults, who face higher risk of severe influenza complications.

Uses

Prevention of Influenza

How it works

The flexivec-N Injection stimulates the body's immune system to produce an immune response against specific influenza virus strains. Once administered, the vaccine introduces inactivated or weakened forms of the virus or specific viral proteins to trigger the production of antibodies. These antibodies then recognize and bind to the influenza virus if the body is exposed to it in the future.

How to Use

The flexivec-N Injection can be administered through intramuscular injection (IM). The recommended starting dosage and any necessary dose adjustments are determined based on the specific condition being treated and the patient's response to the medication.

Side Effects

Flexivec-N Injection causes some side effects like all medications, although not everyone will experience them. Serious Severe allergic reactions (extremely rare) Common Soreness, redness, or swelling at the injection site Low-grade fever Muscle aches and fatigue

Expert Tips

Inform healthcare providers about any history of severe allergic reactions, especially to previous flexivec-N Injections or vaccine components, a history of Guillain-Barré Syndrome, or severe egg allergies. It is essential to disclose any ongoing medications or treatments. Consulting a healthcare provider before vaccination is recommended for individuals with certain neurological conditions, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with specific medical conditions. Additionally, considering the appropriate vaccine type based on age and the severity of current illness is important to ensure the safe administration of the vaccine.
