Product Introduction

Foracort G Inhaler is a combination medication used in the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains three active ingredients: Glycopyrrolate (an anticholinergic), Formoterol (a long-acting beta-agonist), and Budesonide (a corticosteroid). Foracort G Inhaler works by relaxing airway muscles, reducing inflammation, and improving breathing capacity in patients with chronic lung conditions. As maintenance therapy, Foracort G Inhaler helps prevent symptoms including wheezing, breathlessness, and coughing. It is not intended for acute asthma or sudden breathing difficulties. Patients must adhere to prescribed dosage and precautions to reduce the risk of side effects. Safety considerations include avoiding use in individuals with severe hypersensitivity reactions, and exercise caution in patients with cardiovascular disease and glaucoma.

Uses

Approved for the long-term treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. Helps to reduce exacerbations associated with COPD. Improves lung function and reduces inflammation in chronic respiratory conditions.

How it works

Glycopyrrolate helps relax the airway muscles, reducing airway constriction. Formoterol works as a bronchodilator, ensuring smooth airflow into the lungs by stimulating beta-receptors in the airway. Budesonide acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, reducing swelling and mucus production. Together, they provide long-lasting relief from breathing difficulties and improve lung function.

How to Use

Administered via inhalation using a metered-dose inhaler (MDI). Shake the inhaler before use and inhale deeply. Rinse mouth after inhalation to prevent fungal infections.

Side Effects

Common Side Effects: Headache Sore throat Dry mouth Hoarseness Increased heart rate Serious Side Effects: Chest pain or irregular heartbeat Worsening breathing problems High blood pressure Eye pain or vision changes Signs of infection (fever, chills)

Expert Tips

Patients should always follow the prescribed dosage and avoid self-medication. It is essential to rinse the mouth after each use to prevent oral infections. Regular check-ups are advised to monitor lung function and possible side effects. If symptoms worsen or new side effects appear, immediate medical attention is necessary.
