Product Introduction

Fovepta 200IU Injection contains the active ingredient human hepatitis B immunoglobulin, an antiviral agent. It is used in adults and children to provide protection against hepatitis B virus, typically administered alongside hepatitis B vaccine. Hepatitis B virus damages the liver and progressively impairs liver function. This medicine may also be administered to newborn babies born to mothers with hepatitis B virus infection.

Do not use this drug if you are allergic to hepatitis B immunoglobulin or any other ingredients in the formulation.

This injection is typically given if you have been exposed to hepatitis B infection or if your previous hepatitis B vaccination did not produce an adequate response. It is also administered if you are undergoing kidney dialysis while awaiting full effectiveness of hepatitis B vaccination.

Before receiving Fovepta 200IU Injection, inform your doctor if you have any allergic reactions or blood disorders including blood clotting abnormalities. Notify your doctor if you have IgA deficiency, high blood pressure, or diabetes, or if you have recently received any vaccinations or are planning to receive any vaccination, particularly MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine or Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine.
