Product Introduction

Foxime S Injection is a combination antibiotic containing Cefuroxime (a second-generation cephalosporin) and Sulbactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). This combination works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and blocking beta-lactamase enzymes that confer antibiotic resistance. It is prescribed for serious bacterial infections affecting the lungs, urinary tract, abdomen, skin, and soft tissues, as well as post-surgical infections.

Uses

Foxime S Injection is used to treat: Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis) Urinary tract infections (including complicated cases) Skin and soft tissue infections Intra-abdominal infections Post-surgical infections

How it works

Cefuroxime kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall, making them unable to survive. Sulbactam protects Cefuroxime from being destroyed by beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby boosting its effectiveness against resistant bacteria. Together, this combination is highly effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria.
