Product Introduction
Fungimed 50mg Injection 10ml is an antifungal medication containing the active ingredient Amphotericin B. It is used to treat fungal infections affecting one or more deep body organs. It is also indicated for treatment of suspected fungal infections in patients with fever and neutropenia (reduced white blood cell count). This medication is also used to treat visceral leishmaniasis, a parasitic disease in certain populations. Do not use this injection if you are allergic to Amphotericin B or any other ingredients in the medicine. Inform your doctor if you have severe allergic reactions, kidney problems, liver problems, or if you are undergoing dialysis. Tell your doctor if you have low potassium levels. This injection may cause severe infusion reactions including flushing, itching, nausea, swelling of the face, mouth, tongue, and airways, and difficulty breathing. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. Before starting your first dose, your doctor may administer a small test dose of Fungimed 50mg Injection 10ml to check for allergic reactions. Each vial of this medicine contains sugar. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before beginning treatment. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and quantity of this medication based on your condition.

How it works
Fungimed 50mg Injection 10ml binds primarily to ergosterol in sensitive fungi cell membranes, causing membrane permeability changes that result in leakage of intracellular contents and cell death.
Side Effects
Fungimed injection side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Fungimed 50mg Injection 10ml may cause damage to the kidney. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems. It may be necessary to continue this medication for several weeks to several months to treat certain infections. Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection.
