Product Introduction

Gcdex 4mg tablet contains dexamethasone as the active constituent. It is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to relieve inflammation (swelling, heat, redness, and pain) in various diseases affecting multiple organs, including allergic diseases, skin disorders, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, blood disorders, nervous and renal diseases, eye conditions, and rheumatic disorders. It is also used in the treatment of certain types of cancer. Gcdex 4mg tablet is a synthetic glucocorticoid. Corticosteroids are hormones produced naturally by your adrenal glands that help maintain health.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to dexamethasone or any other ingredients of this medicine, or if you have fungal infections. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, respiratory disorders, diabetes, eye problems, seizures, infections, tuberculosis, or psychiatric illness before beginning treatment with this medicine. It should be taken with food to minimise stomach upset. The most common side effects of Gcdex 4mg tablet are increased blood pressure, decreased body growth, abnormal vision, cataract, ocular discomfort, depression, and pulmonary tuberculosis. This medication is not safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This medicine can reduce your ability to fight infections. Inform your doctor if you develop any signs of infection, such as fever, sore throat, or cough.

How it works

Gcdex 4mg tablet is a synthetic adrenocortical steroid with potent anti-inflammatory effects in disorders of many organ systems. They inhibit multiple inflammatory proteins, decreasing swelling, redness, and pain. It also induces cell death of multiple cancer cells.

How to Use

Your doctor will decide the dose and frequency of the medicine. Take Gcdex 4mg tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Take this tablet by mouth. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not break, chew, or crush the tablets. Take the tablet with food to avoid stomach upset.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Expert Tips

Inform your physician if you have any changes in your vision and facing difficulty in driving or operating machinery. If you are on long-term treatment with Gcdex 4mg tablet, avoid getting vaccinations because this may interact with the medicine. Avoid exposure to chicken pox or measles. Avoid pregnancy during the treatment. Use effective birth control methods to avoid pregnancy during the treatment and for at least 1 month after your last dose. Do not breastfeed for at least 2 weeks after your last dose.

Lungs: Consult your doctor It is unknown whether Gcdex 4mg tablet can be used in patients with lung disorders. Consult your doctor if you have any lung diseases before starting the treatment.

Breastfeeding: unsafe Gcdex 4mg tablet is unsafe during breastfeeding. It may excrete in breast milk and cause harm to the unborn baby. Inform your physician if you are breastfeeding and get advice.
