Product Introduction
Havrix 720 injection is an inactivated vaccine containing Hepatitis A Vaccine as its active ingredient. It belongs to the class of antiviral vaccines and is used primarily for prevention of hepatitis A virus infection. Hepatitis A is a viral infection affecting the liver, typically transmitted through contaminated food or drink. Vaccines work to protect against infectious diseases, and this vaccine provides protection against hepatitis A in individuals aged 16 years and older.
The vaccine is generally considered safe for immunocompromised patients, including those with HIV infection or other conditions resulting in immune system weakness. However, immune response to the vaccine may be reduced in such patients, which may lower the level of protection achieved. In these cases, a healthcare provider may recommend additional doses or antibody testing to evaluate vaccine effectiveness. When multiple vaccines are planned, discussion with a healthcare provider regarding the vaccination schedule is advisable.
Patients with a documented severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to a previous dose of this vaccine or to any of its components should not receive it. It is important to inform your healthcare provider of any allergies or prior adverse reactions before vaccination.
Havrix 720 injection is safe for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. No evidence suggests the vaccine causes harm to the developing fetus. As the vaccine does not contain live virus and its components are not known to be harmful to breastfeeding infants, it may be administered in these populations.

How it works
Havrix 720 injection works by neutralizing the HAV particles, and the antibodies prevent the virus from infecting hepatocytes in the liver. This vaccine prevents the virus replication within the liver cells and the subsequent liver damage that can occur during an active Hepatitis A infection.
Side Effects
Havrix 720 side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
