Her 2Nib Tablet

Her 2Nib Tablet contains lapatinib. It is indicated for treatment of advanced breast cancer and may be used alone or in combination with other medications. It is effective against hormone-sensitive cells and rapidly multiplying cancer cells that express high levels of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 protein. Common side effects occurring during treatment with Her 2Nib Tablet include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, weakness, itching, dry skin, decreased appetite, indigestion, constipation, mouth ulcers, abdominal pain, insomnia, joint or back pain, cough, dyspnoea, and headache. Severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, and cardiac, hepatic, or pulmonary complications warrant immediate medical attention. Notify your healthcare provider at the first sign of diarrhoea or dehydration. Monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment. For diarrhoea occurring with this medication, maintain adequate fluid intake, consume low-fat high-protein foods, and avoid dairy products and herbal supplements.

Treats advanced or HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer.

Her 2Nib Tablet acts against the enzyme called tyrosine kinase. It prevents the Human epidermal growth factor receptor protein (HER2) and Epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFRs) from signaling, which are produced by breast cancer cells. It kills cancer cells and slows down their growth.

Take Her 2Nib Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take this medicine at least 1 hour before or after taking the food. Swallow the tablet and do not crush, open, or dissolve them.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medications cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Her 2Nib Tablet can cause severe diarrhea, so it is advised to take plenty of water during the treatment. Eat a well-balanced diet. Avoid consuming grapefruit juice while on treatment with Her 2Nib Tablet as it affects how the medicine works. This medication makes your skin sensitive to the sun and increases the risk of skin rashes. Avoid spending more time in the sunlight, and ensure that you always apply sunscreen with a good SPF before stepping out. Wash your skin with a soap-free cleanser.
