Hersima 150mg Injection

Hersima 150mg Injection contains Trastuzumab as its active ingredient and is indicated for use in HER2-positive breast cancer. In patients with HER2-positive breast cancer, the tumour cells express elevated levels of HER2 proteins that drive rapid cancer development by providing growth signals to malignant cells. This medication is also used to treat metastatic gastric cancer with elevated HER2 protein expression. HER2-positive breast cancers are typically aggressive. Targeted therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer works by selectively binding to the proteins responsible for cancer growth, development, and spread. Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 7 months following the final dose. Hersima 150mg Injection is not recommended in patients under 18 years of age, patients with severe respiratory compromise, or those requiring oxygen therapy. Inform your physician if you have cardiac conditions, breathlessness, or prior exposure to other cancer treatments. Disclose all medicines, including supplements and herbal preparations, to your physician before commencing treatment with this medication.

Hersima 150mg Injection is indicated for its use in the following conditions: Advanced and metastatic breast cancer Metastatic gastric cancer

The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Hersima 150mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells.

Hersima 150mg Injection shall either be administered before or after surgery. It will be given as an Intravenous infusion for 90 minutes, if well tolerated it shall be administered within 30 minutes for the next doses.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. It is suggested to inform your doctor if you have a history of allergic reactions to Hersima 150mg Injection to avoid life-threatening complications. If you have a history of lung disorder or breathing problems inform your doctor beforehand before the treatment commencement. Avoid planning for pregnancy and breastfeeding for a minimum of 7 months after the last dose. Monitor your heart parameters regularly during the treatment with Hersima 150mg Injection as it may impact the functioning of heart.
