Product Introduction

Humimab HC 40mg Injection is an antirheumatic agent belonging to the class of TNF (tumour necrosis factor) inhibitors. The active compound is Adalimumab. It is used to treat symptoms of several autoimmune diseases, either alone or in combination with other medications.

Avoid this medication if you have a severe infection such as tuberculosis, sepsis, or other serious infections. Do not use if you have a compromised immune system. If you have moderate or severe heart failure, this medication should be avoided.

Inform your doctor if you have an active infection before beginning treatment. Before starting therapy, disclose any heart, liver, or renal issues to your doctor. Children aged six years or below should consult your doctor before using Humimab HC 40mg Injection. Patients aged 65 years and above are more susceptible to infections while using this medication; monitoring for side effects is important in this population.

Ensure your child receives an up to date vaccination schedule to reduce the risk of infection. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding will be determined by your doctor only if absolutely necessary, as it may cause infections in the child. Effective contraceptive methods are recommended during therapy and for 5 months after completion. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy to discuss appropriate contraceptive options.

Notify your physician of all medicines, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking before starting therapy. Patients taking Humimab HC 40mg Injection should be closely monitored by their healthcare provider for any signs of side effects.

Uses

How it works

Humimab HC 40mg Injection restricts TNF-alpha's ability to connect with its receptors, which in turn prevents TNF-alpha from mediating downstream signaling pathways. The inflammatory response, which includes immune cell activation, inflammatory cytokine generation, and recruitment of inflammatory cells to inflammatory areas, is largely regulated by these signaling pathways. By restricting the signaling pathway it decreases inflammation in various autoimmune diseases.

How to Use

Humimab HC 40mg Injection is administered by injection under the skin (subcutaneously). The dosage and frequency of Humimab HC 40mg Injection will depend on various factors, including the patient's age, weight, overall health, and the type and stage of disease being treated. It's important to follow the dosing instructions provided by a healthcare provider, and not to adjust the dosage or frequency without consulting with them first. This medicine is to be administered by injection under the skin (subcutaneously). Your doctor or other healthcare professional will train you on how to use this injection. Do not self-administer this injection until you get trained. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible unless it's within 6 hours of the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped, and the regular dosing schedule should be resumed. It's important not to take a double dose of Humimab HC 40mg Injection to make up for a missed dose.
