Product Introduction
I-Dox 20mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing doxorubicin enclosed within a lipid-based liposome formulation. Cancer occurs when cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. This medication is indicated for the treatment of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma (cancer of white blood cells termed plasma cells), and AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Patients with HIV infection are at highest risk of developing Kaposi's sarcoma, a cancer that forms in the lining of lymph and blood vessels. I-Dox 20mg Injection may be administered as monotherapy or in combination with other anticancer medicines. This medication is not recommended for use in adolescents and children. Effective birth control must be used during treatment and for at least six months following the final dose. It is important to inform your doctor of any allergy to peanuts or soya, any concurrent medications for heart or liver disorders, presence of diabetes or Kaposi's sarcoma, or any existing oral problems prior to commencing I-Dox 20mg Injection.
Uses
Breast cancer Ovarian cancer Multiple myeloma AIDS-related Kaposiâs sarcoma
How it works
Doxorubicin inhibits the activity of the enzyme topoisomerase II, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. The unique formulation process of I-Dox 20mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.
How to Use
Your dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your physician based on your disease condition and other factors. It will be given to you by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
