Product Introduction
IB TIB 140mg Capsule contains the active ingredient Ibrutinib. It is indicated for the treatment of haematological malignancies including mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), Waldenström macroglobulinaemia, and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL). These are malignancies of lymphocytes, the white blood cells that form part of the immune system. They are distinguished by the anatomical site of malignancy, the lymphocyte subtype involved, and other clinical features. IB TIB 140mg Capsule is also used in the treatment of chronic graft versus host disease (cGvHD) following failure of systemic therapy. During allogeneic stem cell transplantation, stem cells from a donor are administered to the patient. GvHD occurs when donor cells recognise the patient's cells as foreign and mount an immune response against them.
Before commencing IB TIB 140mg Capsule, inform your physician if you have bleeding disorders, active infection, hepatic impairment, cardiac disease, or intolerance to certain sugars. This medication is not recommended for paediatric patients and adolescents. Inform your physician if you have recently undergone or are scheduled for any surgical procedure. Your physician may discontinue IB TIB 140mg Capsule in advance of planned surgical or medical interventions. Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least one month following the final dose. Avoid consumption of grapefruit or oranges in any form during treatment as these may increase blood concentrations of the medication. Maintain adequate fluid intake to prevent dehydration. Notify your physician if diarrhoea develops and persists.
